About this interactive
A spreadsheet is a grid. Columns run down the sheet and are lettered A, B, C; rows run across and are numbered 1, 2, 3. Each box is a cell, named by its column and then its row: A1 is column A, row 1.
A formula starts with an equal sign. =A1+A2 adds whatever is in A1 and A2, and it is dynamic: change A1 and the result changes by itself. SUM adds every number in a range of cells, and AVERAGE adds them and divides by how many there are. Sorting a column in descending order puts the largest value first.
Type the missing value in each line. Capitals do not matter; type numbers as digits.
