About this interactive
The lesson wraps up a change in three moves, in this order.
Keep monitoring: some bad changes break things at once, and some show their effects later. Watch for a proper period and answer two questions: did the change roll out and do what it was meant to, and has it caused any adverse effects? Until the period is over, or while something the change affects has not run yet, the change is still being monitored.
Finish the documentation: the documents built up along the way (the request, the plan, the approval, the implementation checklist) need finishing. Update the change control document to say it is done, write in any procedures that changed, and record the new configurations of the systems.
Close it out: answer the original request, by ticket or email, and close it. The lesson says closing the ticket is usually the last thing you do.
A quick test for each card: is the watch still running, is the record still unfinished, or is the only thing left the request itself?
