Another thing that's really common with a lot of the places I work with is some sort of video surveillance, setting up some sort of video surveillance to understand what's happening. Often what will happen is they'll do it either within the office or maybe right outside the office door so they can see who's coming and going.

So this is a great way to both understand what's happening on your networks or within your buildings, but also a great way in order to deter people from getting in, because if they know that there's video surveillance, they're less likely to break in to begin with.

Types of Video Surveillance

There are a lot of different types of video surveillance. Some of them just work through the wireless system. Some of them store data offsite. Some of them store the data on site. Some of them use some sort of specialized cable that goes to them. There's a lot of different video surveillance systems out there. So we would identify the one that we would want to use and then set it up, so that way we could do surveillance on our buildings and within our infrastructure.
