Browser appearance settings allow users to customize themes, color schemes, and interface elements on a per-profile basis. Assigning distinct visual styles to different profiles makes it easy to identify which profile is active at a glance.
Browser Appearance Settings
Another thing we can control with our browsers is the appearance of it. There are some things that we can customize to really make it customized to us. Where I really like to do this is I like to set up my different profiles with different appearances, so that way I know which time.
Let's jump on to Chrome here. I'm going to choose my TechKnowDJ profile, and I'm going to go under the settings, so we click on the ellipse and down to settings. With this, what I can do is I can adjust the appearance. This is where we're looking at, the appearance.
Let's look at a couple of the options. I'm not going to get real in-depth into this because you can explore some of this on your own, and each browser is going to be a little different. But let's say I want to choose a theme, so I can click on theme here. What is the color of this theme that I'm going to choose? What do I want it to be — light, do I want it to be dark, or whatever the device is set to, which it's in dark mode? I like to just stick with dark here. And then what is the color scheme of this? I can change the color scheme of this. Then there's some other appearance stuff here that I could select and change, and how I want things to show up for this particular profile.
It is a per profile. So what I can do is let me open up two profiles. I'm going to open up both of these, and one of the things I like to do, as I mentioned, is I like to have two different color schemes on it so I know when I'm in these two different profiles. So I wouldn't want to choose the same profile scheme, otherwise I couldn't be able to deci the difference between the two. So I offset it, and then I can easily identify which profile I'm in.
One other thing that I do like to do is I like to show the bookmarks bar, because I use those bookmarks a lot. So I turn on show the bookmark. And there we have it — that's the appearance and how I can change the appearance. There's other different things that I could do with this.
