AI Chatbots

So how do we use AI? One of the ways that we use AI is we use AI chatbots. A good example of this would be ChatGPT. Based off of the name, we know this is generative pre-trained transformer, which means that it's already been pre-trained. We don't need to train it at all. ChatGPT is a product that's put out there by OpenAI. So this is an application that we can use to interface with artificial intelligence to generate new, and in this case it's chat, so generate new text.

Let's take a look at an example of this. There's a sample down here. What I can do in here is ask it a question. So let me ask it a question. Maybe I want unique names. I'll actually put in: give me a set of unique names for a class that covers ChatGPT. And then we'll hit enter, and now it's going to come out with some unique names for that. So: GPT Mastery, Navigating AI Conversation, AI Dialogue Dynamics, ChatGPT Chronicles.

And then what I could do is say, well, maybe I want something a little different than this. Maybe I want more funny. So I could say, make them more funny, and then hit enter. And then it's going to say GPT LOL. You may not find these funny or not, but this is the list that ChatGPT is giving me that it considers being more funny.

Or maybe I can make it a certain theme. So, make it cowboy themed, and then it will give me a list of cowboy themed: GPT Roundup, Saddle Up Partner, Cowboy Coding with ChatGPT. So it can give me a lot of different names that are cowboy-ish.

Or maybe I want it more gangster. So, make it gangster like, and then it goes through: GPT Mob Talk, Big Bots Bigger Talks.

So this is an example of ChatGPT and how we can actually carry on a conversation, and it can generate new, in this case text, new text content to help me create, in this case right here, maybe it's a course on ChatGPT.

Voice Assistants

Another way we use AI is to interpret our voice so it can understand us. We use it for things like AI assistants, for things like Siri and Alexa. So as an example, I can say, hey Siri, who wrote Harry Potter? JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter in 1997. And now we can get answers just by speaking to our phones. We can do it hands-free.

Prediction

In reality, we've really been using AI for a long time. One of the ways we've been using it is to predict things, that there are trend lines that happen. So we've got some data here and there's a trend that's happening. We can use AI to go and interpret what's happening with our data, what's happening, and give predictive models to see where we're going.

Suggestions

Another great use for AI is suggesting things. So for instance, here I'm on a Chrome browser, and if I type in when, it's already predicting what am I trying to say. When is Super Bowl? When is the Super Bowl 2025? When is Easter 2025?

In this case right here, this is a guest browser window, so it's probably just pulling this from top searches right now. But if I was logged in with one of my credentials here, then it could be suggesting things based off of my prior history and what certain things I've searched for in the past, or what topics I have searched for. So it could be suggestive and give me more direct searchable items here, in which case I can just hit the down arrow while I'm doing this.
