About this interactive
The Training lesson gives security training three moments.
Onboarding: initial training when someone joins, an employee or a contractor, before or as they start using the company's systems.
Recurring: training that comes round again on a schedule, monthly, quarterly or yearly. It keeps people up to date on new threats and new policies and reinforces what they forget. Some organizations trickle it out all year, which the lesson calls continuous training.
Ad hoc: a one-time session set up for a specific need when it arises. The lesson's examples are a new client that requires training on a security topic, and a move to remote work that brings new risks.
A quick test for each card: is it someone's first training, a session that comes round on a schedule, or a one-off set up because something happened?
