About this interactive
How the lessons read a route:
- **Destination network:** the network the route reaches, written with its prefix (/8, /16 or /24 here: the first one, two or three octets must match).
- **Next hop:** the address of the next router toward that network, written "via 10.240.0.1".
- **Exit interface:** the router's own port the packet leaves on, such as G0/1 or Fa0/0.
- A **connected** network is on one of the router's own ports, so it has an exit interface and no next hop.
Find the route whose network holds the destination, then read off what is asked. On a real router `show ip route` (Cisco) or `route print` (Windows) prints the table.
