About this interactive

From the lesson's demo: ipconfig, run in a Windows command prompt, lists every network adapter in the machine (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and others), each under its own heading. Find the heading first, then read the lines under it. - **IPv4 Address**: this adapter's own address. ipconfig /all adds (Preferred) after it, which is not part of the address. - **Subnet Mask**: shown with the address. - **Default Gateway**: the router this adapter sends to for anything off its own network. - **Physical Address** (ipconfig /all only): the adapter's MAC address, written with dashes. A disconnected adapter still shows one, because it belongs to the card.
