About this interactive
Availability is the A in the CIA triad, and it answers one question: can the people who need a resource get to it? A crashed server, a cut cable, a denial-of-service attack and a power cut with no generator all give the same answer, no.
Performance is not in the triad, but it behaves like an extension of availability. Where availability is yes or no, performance is a scale. A page that should load in half a second and takes eight is still available, just slow. Push it far enough, say twenty seconds, and users stop telling the difference: they leave, and the business loses revenue either way.
To sort a card, ask whether users can reach the service at all. If they cannot, it is availability. If they can but it is slow, it is performance. Watch for the server that is running but cannot be reached: running is not the same as available.
